On September 4, I had the privilege of working alongside The Rapides Foundation team for their annual Symposium—held in the ballroom of the beautiful Hotel Bentley in downtown Alexandria. This year’s focus on Economic Development brought together community leaders, partners, and longtime advocates for Central Louisiana’s growth.
With a program centered on the importance of long-term investment in regional economic development, the Symposium featured voices from across the state. Speakers included Joe Rosier (President and CEO of The Rapides Foundation), Jim Clinton (outgoing President and CEO of Louisiana Central), Susan Bourgeois (Secretary of Louisiana Economic Development), and Chris Masingill (incoming President and CEO of Louisiana Central). Together, they offered a broad look at where Central Louisiana stands and where it’s headed—with a clear sense of unity and optimism for the future.
Thoughtful Details That Helped It All Come Together
I was honored to support the Foundation team as they brought this event to life—helping coordinate vendors, manage logistics, and make sure everything flowed smoothly from start to finish.
The space looked beautiful, thanks in part to Boxwood Florals by Shannon McClung, whose arrangements added such a lovely, welcoming touch. The menu was carefully planned to complement the luncheon, and the presentation visuals by Pat Douget helped tie the message and the aesthetic together.
From vendor communication to schedule management, I worked alongside the Foundation team to make sure every part of the day felt polished and intentional—so they could focus on what mattered most: sharing their story.
Grateful to Be Part of It
I’m thankful to have played a small part in supporting their efforts—and I’m excited about the future they’re helping shape for Central Louisiana.
